The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District

The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District, located in central Colorado, serves the towns of Eagle, Wolcott, Fulford, Bond, McCoy and State Bridge, providing fire, EMS, Haz-mat and rescue sevices. The town of Eagle, at an elevation of 6600 feet, has a historical background, fast growing communities and a sense of family.

In addition to serving the populated town areas, Eagle Fire Department also serves the outlying forest and wilderness areas. Because of the diverse mountain environment, the fire department provides sevice for wildland fires and a variety of resuce missions, including ice rescue, swiftwater rescue and mountain rescue.

The Fire Department hosts an annual Barbeque & Barn Dance each fall at which all proceeds benefit the Eagle Volunteer Firefighter Association.
